  • Is financing available?
    Chicago Academy of Permanent Makeup Accepts All Forms of Payments.
  • How many students are in each class?
    Our classes are intentionally small so we accept no more than 6-8 students per class.
  • Do I need to be a aesthetician?
    Each state has different requirements. For the state of IL you do not need to be an aesthetician or cosmetologist. Please refer to your local health board for your states requirements.
  • What is included in the kit?
    Each course comes with a FREE kit. Please refer to the course section to see what is included in that courses' kit.
  • Does each student practice on a live model?
    Yes. Each student must practice on 2 live models to complete the Microblade, Shade & Nano Brow course, 1 live model to complete the Eyeliner course.
  • What licenses do I need to become a permanent makeup technician?
    In the state of IL you do not need a license. Please check with your state to verify their requirements.
  • How many clients can be completed with the kit that I receive?
    It varies from kit to kit.
  • How long before I recoup my investment?
    There are some variables to consider when answering this question, such as how much you will charge and how much time you will dedicate to your practice. These equations demonstrate some common scenarios: $250 x 20 clients = $5000 $350 x 15 clients = $5250 $450 x 12 clients = $5400
  • Can I receive my training kit early to start practicing?
    Proper technique is of the utmost importance. Any practice before class could instill poor skills sets. We look forward to providing you with your kit on the first day of class.
  • Is lunch provided?
    We provide coffee, drinks and snacks. A microwave and refrigerator are provided if you would like to bring lunch.
  • Do I need to be an artistic person?
    Although being artistic will give you advantages, it is not necessary to achieve your goals. Our teaching techniques will equip you with the skills you need to create beautiful results every time.
  • What do I need to bring to class?
    Everything you need will be provided in class; simply dress comfortably.
  • How many hrs is each day of class?
    Class begins at 10:00 am and will finish by 5:00 pm each day.
  • When is final payment due?
    A $500 dollar deposit holds your spot in the class. Final payment is due two weeks before the course begins. If you need to cancel, the nonrefundable deposit will be applied toward a course at a later date that you choose.
  • Where can I stay if I am coming in from out of town?
    There are several local hotels in the area. Comfort Suites (3.3 miles) (recommended) Country Inn & Suites by Radisson (3.9 miles)
